Heartfelt Blooms

Hello stampers!

Wednesday marked Day 1 of the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration!  Sale-a-bration is Stampin' Up!'s biggest sale of the year!  If you are new to Sale-a-bration, be sure to check the tab at the top of the page for all the details!  Even if you are familiar with Sale-a-bration, there are some new features this year, so check it out!

On Wednesday, I shared two cards from the new Sale-a-bration brochure in a blog hop with a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  Both cards were made with the new Heartfelt Blooms Sale-a-bration set.  Today I'll take a closer look at both cards as well as provide the supply lists for each.

Heartfelt Blooms is part of Stampin’ Up!’s new line of Distinktive stamp sets. The stamps lay down the ink at different opacities giving the finished images more depth.  You won’t believe the amazing detail this stamp creates.  What;s crazy about this stamp is that when you look at it, the stamp surface is almost smooth.  It's not like any other red rubber stamp.  But when it's lightly inked, the affect is amazing.

First up, is this heat embossed image in Calypso Coral.

I inked up the stamp first with Versa Mark and then Calypso Coral before stamping the image on the Shimmery White card stock panel.  I added clear embossing powder and heat set the image.  Really simple, but look at the dimension and detail in the image!

The image panel is adhered to a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Sweet Soiree collection in the Occasions catalog.  I finished it off by wrapping Silver Baker's Twine around the panel and tying a bow.  All are attached to a card base of Thick Whisper White.

For the second card, after stamping the flower image in Archival Basic Black on a Shimmery White card stock panel.  Then I colored the image with an aqua painter using only Old Olive and Berry Blast ink, along with a spot of Crushed Curry for the center of the flower.

None of the detail of the mage is lost using this method to color.  I then topped off the flower image with Wink of Stella.  The greeting is stamped in Berry Blast and is from the same set.  The banner for the greeting and the silver metallic image behind it are from the Petals and More Thinlit Dies from the Occasions Catalog.  The Old Olive striped panel at the bottom of the card is from the Sweet Soiree Memories and More Card Pack from the Sale-a-bration Brochure.  The ribbon is the Berry Blast Metallic Edge Ribbon.  All are adhered to a Berry Blast card stock panel and attached to a card base in Basic Black.
